In the recent interview with Ibiza Voice, Joseph Capriati exposed the legendary DJ Carl Cox as one of his role models and expressed a deep appreciation for his friendship and work.
As the website, We Rave You quotes his words: “As a DJ, he is the best in the whole world. Nobody could ever manage again to do what he did or does right now. I think he is the greatest person I’ve met in my life and I don’t say that because he’s Carl Cox ‘the best DJ in the world’ but his personality really changed me.”
Pointing out that Cox hasn’t had just an impact on his music, but also his personality and life, Capriati said that since he met him, he feels more calm, balanced, relaxed and he knows why he is here. He also taught him how to play the right music at the right moment.
At this point, the Italian house and techno DJ opened up a bit about his plans for the future.
He is currently working on a new album, which is due to release in 2018 and will be full of surprises. From the collaboration with legends as Louie Vega (of Masters At Work), Eric Kupper and other, the album will also feature other genres alongside with techno.
“Techno will of courses play a big part but I’m working really hard to make something that will surprise people,” said Capriati.
Capriati and Cox met in Ibiza five years ago and have collaborated several times. Last week Capriati played at the first Pure Carl Cox party in the club Privilege and it was extraordinary.
